When we reinforced the doorjamb, the door itself became the weakest part of the door and split when kicked

  • Alone, these pieces should be used only to cover-up damage on an existing door (without jamb reinforcement they are relatively useless as a security device). Once the jamb is reinforced, they are an extremely important part of our overall system

  • The Door Shield is made of the same, tough steel from which other Door Jamb Armor components are made

  • Unlike other door protectors, the Door Shield comes with durable, white powder coating, that looks great but enables you to paint it to match the color of your door - The pieces are difficult to see in the pictures because they are difficult to see from a distance.

  • Low Profile Door Shields are designed to be less visible and come in colors (oil-rubbed bronze and satin nickel) that match your lock hardware.

  • The Door Shields can be purchased separately from the other Door Jamb Armor components.

  • Standard unit fits standard lock spacing (5-1/2 inches on center). Be sure to check how far your locks are backset from the edge of the door before ordering.

  • Universal (2-piece) unit fits all non-standard lock spacing
